A Couple of Ruffles - Some Dresses for My Baby

See my full disclosure policy here.

Laila Dress was free as part of a giveaway for PDF Love in the PDF Pattern Sales & Promotions facebook group.

I've been working on sewing through my stash lately-both fabric and patterns. Here's a couple of dresses I've made for my baby. This first one is the Laila Dress from Bobkin patterns.

I love the invisible zipper instructions. Check out how neatly that lines up. I was pretty excited about it, so I took a picture.

It's still a little big on her, but I'm hoping it will be perfect for next spring.

This one is the Sweet Baby Doll Dress from Whimsy Couture. It's a simpler dress, but still lots of ruffles.

It's a pretty basic dress as far as construction goes, but with all those ruffles, it does take quite a bit of fabric.

It runs true to size, although since it's elastic around the chest and the ribbon acts as a drawstring for the sleeves, it's probably pretty flexible as far as sizing goes.

I also made some bloomers in the same fabric as the main dress. It looks adorable and she got lots of compliments when she wore it to church.

She looks like a little porcelain doll in these ruffles! Very pretty!
