Burlap N' Blue lamp

See my full disclosure policy here.
Round 1 of Crafting with the Stars is over.  I made it to Round 2.  My project was the Burlap N' Blue lamp.  Did you guess?  Its not my typical project, but I loved how it turned out.

Here's the before & after:

I think that the base is now such a pretty blue.
And I love the way the ruffles turned out.

And here is the whole thing.  I owe Jen from Tatertots and Jello a huge thank you for her suggestions and advice.  Also thanks to my husband for his moral support, care of the children while Mama was going crazy, and his suggestion of taking the pictures outside. I think it was brilliant!

Update: The tutorial will post Feb 15 on Tatertots and Jello.

Yes, this is beautiful! I have a couple of lamps I bought to redo, but am not second guessing what I was going to do. I'm going to store this idea away. I LOVE the outside photos. It was worth the extra effort, they look great! Stopping by from the Crafty Soiree!

I love this! I am redoing a lamp right now and making a burlap lamp shade but I was just going to recover the shade. I love this idea of the ruffles...I'm sort of a ruffle addict...hehe. I would love for you to come link this up to my Sew Crafty Party.
